STOLEN Red Fronted Macaw - REWARD - August 5th 2008 - SF Valley

Gilda

Gilda is a friendly, beautiful Red Fronted Macaw. Many of you who have been to Parrots Naturally know her. Gilda was brazenly grabbed from a perch in the front of our store as customers watched on August 4 at about 1:15 pm.

The thieves are two large male Hispanics who ran out and jumped into a silver-grey VW sedan, (may be a Jetta). The car looked brand new and had paper dealer plates from Finley, Findley or Findlay motors or automotive.

Red Fronteds are a dark, olive green small macaw with a brilliant red front (forehead) and top of the head. She has a distinctive orange patch on her face and orange on her shoulders and under-wings. They are not considered mini-macaws, but are the smallest of the large macaws weighing around 550 gms. Gilda knows her name and will reply Hi Gilda when you call her. She also waves when you wave to her.

We are offering a large reward for her return. If someone approaches you offering to sell a red fronted or any other kind of macaw, please, please say that you are interested and will pay a fair price. Try anything to stall and then, call all of the numbers below. If you are a bird or pet store, please, say that you have a customer that is interested. We will guarantee $1,500 if you can negotiate.

Call Judy Lantz anytime (night or day) if you have a lead.

LOST Green Cheeked Conure - $100 REWARD - July 9th 2007 - Rancho Dominguez

Hulkie

“Hulkie” is a small parrot (a Green-Cheeked Conure) about the size of a Cockatiel. In the picture he is perched on my thumb. While essentially green in the body, the top of his head and his beak are black, his chest and neck have two-toned tan feathers, and he has a white patch surrounding each eye. Note the unusual maroon tail feathers!! Seen from underneath, he has a tan body, blue-tipped green wings, and a maroon belly and tail. Not visible in the photo is an aluminum leg band on his right leg.

The $100 Reward for the safe return, or for spotting info leading to the safe return, of “Hulkie.” Not realizing he was on my shoulder, I went outside with him on Monday, July 9, at about 7:45 PM. He got startled by a loud noise and flew NE from my back door at Space 174 in Dominguez Hills Estates (address below). He can’t find his way home and needs your help! Last seen heading East from the park entrance.

He is friendly but timid. He can say “Upside down” in a voice that sounds like a bad recording made on a pocket tape recorder. He may come to you if you call out “Upside down!” or offer your hand with the "Up!" command.

If you see him, please call me, Oliver Dean, at 1-310- 635-2400, ASAP. If possible, leave a dish of water for him or even take him inside if he comes to you. I am at Space 174 in Dominguez Hills Estates, 19009-174 Laurel Park Road, Rancho Dominguez, CA 90220. Please help - check yards, trees, and shrubs if you can -- my life is devastated without him!

Cordially, Oliver Dean, Email: 3dimages "at" sbcglobal.net
